Over the course of my senior year I sat down with a different guest each episode and just have a conversation. The guests I had ranged from sports reporters at the local t.v. stations, sports writers from major Rhode Island newspapers, members of the URI community and fellow peers! I would host, record, edit and release each episode.

There was one car ride with my intern supervisor my junior year and we were just having a conversation about sports, the sports media field and just life in general as we drove to Boston. That is when it me that this would be the type of podcast I would want to listen to. Just like that "Coffee with Cardi" was born.

Each guest I would only have one or two talking points to try and create a genuine conversation. The only segment I would do was "The Fast Break." Since the invention of the fast break happened on the campus of URI, I incorporated it into my podcast. The segment consisted of 8-10 questions about my guests favorite things and would be answered as quickly as possible.
