ABC 6
During the spring semester of my junior year I had the
incredible opportunity to intern with ABC 6 (WLNE-TV)
in Providence,RI. It was an incredible experience for
me between being able to cover local high school
state championships, or getting to report on both
Providence College basketball and URI basketball,
or the unbelievable trips to the TD Garden to cover
both NBA and Stanley Cup Playoff series. From start
to finish my time at ABC 6 was an unforgettable one
where my broadcast career really began to flourish.

I was an intern with the sports department while at ABC 6. I had the opportunity to shoot games and interviews, write scripts for both the anchor and for packages. I also had a chance to practice my stand-ups and had a chance to anchor. My first week I was so nervous as I would write scripts and edit videos that would actually be on t.v. As the semester went on I grew more comfortable and was able to really settle into my role and start to produce high quality work.

Getting to cover an NHL Eastern Conference Final series was one I will never forget. The opportunity to go into the locker room post game or sit in on the press conferences was a real highlight in my early career. Thanks to ABC 6 and the people I worked with I was able to do real work in a professional setting. It is an experience that helped make me the journalist I am today and it will be a time I will not soon forget.
Below is my anchor reel as well as a stand up I did from the TD Garden.
